Unto the Great Populace of Rowany, her Canton and her College, do Baroness Ameline and Baron Miles send fond and happy tidings.
It has been our pleasure, and our privilege, to serve as Baronage to Lochac’s first and finest Barony these last four years. But the time has come for a new chapter in both our lives, and in Rowany’s history books.
And so earlier this year we advised the Crown that we would need Successors.
As a sign of the richness of skills and experience in its Populace, the Barony has been fortunate to have had two sets of incredibly qualified candidates. We thank them both for their time and consideration in putting their names forward for the Baronial line of succession. We also thank Master Gilchrist for his work in administering the poll. And you, our populace, have our heartfelt thanks for undertaking to know these candidates, and to offer commentary accordingly.
The Khagan and Yeke Khatun (King and Queen) have discussed with us the poll and together the decision was made to recognise Viscountess Caristiona nic Beathain and Sir Stigh Joghensson as successors to the Baronage of Rowany.
Our highest respect and gratitude to Mistress Eloise Darnell and Lord William de la Montaigne Coupe for their consideration and application for this role, and we acknowledge their high level of service to the Barony.
Caristiona and Stigh will, as will the Barony as a whole, be fortunate to have Eloise and William as their stalwart supporters.
While it will not be without sadness that we step down from this role, we are excited to see the great things to which Caristiona and Stigh will undoubtedly lead the Barony.
In Service to the Barony of Rowany, and to the Khan and Yeke Khatun of Lochac
